Peter Duncalfe
Peter qualified from Liverpool University in July 2008 and has worked at Nantwich Farm Vets ever since.
Over the years he has developed a special interest in cattle lameness, both for effective trimming and treatment of individual animals and improving mobility from a whole herd perspective. He is RoMS accredited, and has completed the CHCSB Level 4 Professional Foot Trimmer training, and is a Mobility Mentor for the AHDB Healthy Feet Programme, helping farmers recognise and target specific risk factors particular to their farm. Peter runs the Lantra accredited “First Aid for Feet” and “Intermediate Hoof Trimming” courses for farmers, aiming to equip our client teams with the best trimming and mobility training.
Peter is also a BCVA Accredited Johne’s Veterinary Advisor and TB Advisory Service (TBAS) advisor.
Outside work Peter loves spending time with his wife, Gilly (a small animal vet) and their two boys, Tim and Ben. All four of them are involved with their local church. His other passions are for running (with South Cheshire Harriers) and golf (a member at Crewe Golf Club). Get in touch if you’re interested in going for a round!
