Lewis graduated from Nottingham University in 2014, having focused on farm work during his time there and seeing practice across the UK and California. Afterwards, he immediately went to New Zealand and worked on the south island until 2017.
From 2017 until 2020 he carried on providing locum support during the calving seasons in NZ and worked as a locum at various practices in the UK for the remainder of those years. One of these locum stints brought him to Nantwich and he took the opportunity to stay permanently! All the time spent in NZ gave him a particular interest in grass based systems and farm economics.
He is keen to bring what he has learnt working with progressive larger herds to Cheshire and develop his skills working with higher producing housed systems here too.
Outside of work he enjoys hiking, mountain biking and skiing and if he can visit a new country while doing these things then all the better!
