Lewis graduated in 2014 with Honours and spent his first years of dairy practice experiencing a variety of farming environments, from a few months in California to three years on New Zealand's South Island. He then locumed at various farm practices in the UK including Nantwich Farm Vets, at which he took the opportunity to stay permanently! Time spent working in a variety of countries has given him a particular interest in how to facilitate profitable farming across a range of dairy operating systems -  from the grass based systems of NZ to large scale housed dairy farming in the USA.

He now enjoys working with progressive dairy herds in the North West and continues to develop skills relevant to offer these farms high level advice. In 2024 he graduated from Harper Adams University with a PgD in Ruminant Nutrition.

Outside of work he enjoys hiking, mountain biking and skiing and if he can visit a new country while doing these things then all the better!
