Join Nantwich Farm Vets Director Laura Donovan to kick off this year's New Herdspersons course. Starting the course with the basic care of cattle and first aid, Laura will cover:
- Health and safety around cattle
- Understanding cattle and how their senses differ to humans
- Basic handling and restraint
- Carrying out clinical examinations of cows and calves - recognising normal vs abnormal
- How to give fluids safely using stomach pumps/tubes
- Sick cow examples
- First aid scenarios
All modules of the New Herdspersons course can be booked as standalone training sessions priced at £60 + VAT each, including hot and cold refreshments.
